WINGATE, N.C. (April 10, 2011) -   For the second consecutive season, the conference is split into a north and south region format for the tournament, with the winner of each region meeting for the championship game, which will be hosted by Saint Leo on Sunday, April 17.

The 2011 Deep South Conference Tournament will kick off on Tuesday, April 11, league officials announced Sunday.  The third-seed Rollins Tars will take on second-seed Saint Leo University in south region quarterfinal action, Tuesday at 7 p.m. on the campus of Saint Leo.

In the north region, number three seed Catawba will play at number two seed Wingate. That game will take place Tuesday, April 12 at 4 p.m. The winner of that contest will travel to the number one seed Mars Hill for a 7 p.m. start on Thursday, April 14. The winner of that contest will advance to the championship game on Sunday.

In the south region, the Tars and Lions will square off in the first round, with the winner of that contest traveling to play top seed Florida Southern, Thursday at 7 p.m. The winner of that showdown will meet the winner of the north region in Sunday's championship contest.
