Coe and Rothenfluh Lead the Field at NCAA Regional; Tars Second

LAKELAND, Fla. (May 1, 2011) - Rollins opened play at the NCAA Division II South Region Tournament with a 295 and sits second, just four off the pace. Joanna Coe and Fabia Rothenfluh each carded one-under par rounds of 71 and are tied atop the leaderboard.

Top-ranked Nova Southeastern leads after day one with a round of 291. Saint Leo shot 306 and is third while host Florida Southern and Carson-Newman are tied for fourth with scores of 309.

Coe played the front-nine one over with a bogey on No. 6. She was hot on the back, scoring birdies on No. 10 and No. 12, then closed with six pars. Rothenfluh recorded a birdie No. 7, but gave the stroke back with a bogey on No. 8. She then hit another birdie on No. 12 to finish the day with a red number.

Cecilia Kleinert shot a 76 and is tied for 11th. She stumbled out of the gate, suffering bogeys on four of the first five holes. She recovered with two birdies and a double bogey on the back.

Brianna Seo is one back of Kleinert and tied for 16th after an opening round 77. Elin Marcsdottir shot an 81 Sunday and is tied for 37.
