Colorado Springs, Colo. (July 5, 2011) - Rollins graduate and four-time All-America selection Joanna Coe is set for her second professional event, the 2011 U.S. Women's Open.
Coe made her professional debut at the ShopRite LPGA Classic in early June, missing the cut after rounds of 86 and 79 (165). She later qualified for the Open by finishing tied for seventh at the Rockville, Md. qualifier. The Mays Landing, New Jersey native struggled to a 78 in the first round, but was spectacular in the second round, carding a one-under 71.
Coe will be part of the second group to tee off at the tournament, going off at 7:11 a.m. MDT on July 7, joining Whitney Wade and amateur Margarita Ramos. The group will hit the links at 12:41 a.m. MDT on July 8, starting on the back nine. Fans can follow the scoring live at 2011uswomensopen.com.
Aree Song, sister of Rollins assistant coach Naree Song, will be in the group behind Coe, teeing off at 7:22 a.m. MDT.
