Tars Earn Split in Regular Season Finale Double Dual

SAINT LEO, Fla. (February 4, 2012) - The Rollins men's swim team ended its regular season Saturday with a double dual split at Saint Leo. The Tars defeated Florida Tech 66-47 and fell to the host Lions 98-15.

Taylor Powers had a hand in two runner-up finishes for the Tars to lead the way. He teamed with Scott Barbee, Nate Burn and Mike Weinstein to finish second in the 200-yard relay in 1:30.14 and took runner-up in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:55.21.

Barbee was third in the 100-yard butterfly in 55.91 while Sanborn took runner-up in the 100-yard IM in 56.70.

Burn was third in the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 49.60 while Mark Danielson took third in both the 50-yard free (23.30) and 50-yard backstroke (27.63).

The Rollins next prepares for the 2012 Sunshine State Conference Championships, hosted at the Long Center in Clearwater Feb. 15-18.
