STANFORD, Calif. (February 18, 2012) - The Rollins women's golf team stands in seventh after the first round of the 2012 Peg Barnard Invitational, hosted by Stanford University, after the Tars shot an opening round score of 314 (+30).

Senior Fabia Rothenfluh and junior Elin Marcsdottir lead the Rollins individual leaderboard with a 4-over 75 to tie them for eighth.

Clara Teixeira carded a round of 81 to tie her for 41st.  Kristen Garabedian (83) and Kayla Sciupider (84) round out the Tars squad for 49th and 54th place, respectively. 

California (295) leads the event with Fresno State (301) six strokes behind in second.  Host Stanford (303) stands in third, while Washington (304) and San Jose State (306) round out the top-five.

The final round of the Peg Barnard Invitational is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. Sunday.  For live stats of the event, check out
