DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (September 23, 2012) - The Rollins women's golf team shot a one-round score of 294 to capture the Daytona State Lady Falcon Invitational title Sunday at the LPGA International golf course.
Rollins held on strong to their lead over host Daytona State as they shot three strokes better than yesterday with a 294 and totaled a two-day score of 591. Daytona State dropped back one spot and tied for third with 619 strokes with Florida Tech.
Florida Southern shot three strokes better and jumped to second to trail the Tars by 22 strokes with a 613. Bethune-Cookman shot a 637 to round out the top-five.
Annie Dulman was the tournament individual medalist as she shot a 71 to bring her at a two-day score of 141 to tie with FSC's Megan Kiley. Dulman earned the title in a playoff.
Joining Dulman in the top-10 was Kayla Sciupider as she finished third with a 147 (76-71) and Elin Marcsdottir in seventh with a 153 (75-78). Momo Sakuragi and Kristen Garabedian were each one stroke out of the top-10 as they shot a 157.
Competing individually were Kelly Krusoe (T-27, 162), Jennifer So (T-27, 162) and Nikki Yatsenick (T-42, 174).
Rollins will be back in action in two weeks as they head to south Florida for the Nova Southeastern Shark Invitational set for Oct. 8-9.
