WINTER PARK, Fla. (August 24, 2012) - After finding themselves in a 2-0 hole ten minutes into the second half, 20th ranked Rollins fought back to escape with a 2-2 tie in the final exhibition before opening their regular season.

In a physical game that a total of seven yellow cards were handed out, the Tars out-shot the Warriors by a wide margin, 29-6, and also took 15 corner kicks compared to Webber's two.

After 37 minutes of scoreless play, the Warriors broke through in the 38th minute when junior Jose Netto beat Tars keeper Anthony White inside the near post.

WIU would extend their lead in the 55th minute when sophomore Leonardo Cid collected a rebound and buried it just out of the reach of keeper Keneil Baker, Baker replaced White at halftime.

Rollins would answer just over a minute later when sophomore Skyler Russell played a ball into the box to Grant Blackhurst. The freshman headed it straight into the air when Tucker Hume came flying out of nowhere to head the 50/50 ball just out of the reach of Warrior keeper Brandon Stout.

Five minutes later, senior Joe Crowley played a ball into the box off a free kick from about 40 yards out that Walker Hume headed inside the far post to knot the score at 2-2.

Both teams would go scoreless the rest of the way to end in a tie.

That concludes Rollins' exhibition schedule and now the Tars will open their regular season Friday, Aug. 31 with a home date against Embry-Riddle.
