PENSACOLA, Fla, (September 9, 2012) - 17th ranked Rollins suffered their first defeat of the young season Sunday morning at the hands of Young Harris by a final score of 2-1.

The Tars fell behind early when Niall McCabe collected his own rebound and buried in the back of the net in the 19th minute.

Rollins would fight back to tie it at one goal apiece just ten minutes later. Sophomore Skyler Russell sent a free kick towards the box, looking for a redirection from a teammate near the far post but instead caught a break when pushing and shoving in the box allowed the ball to land untouched in the goal mouth and bounce over keeper Wezly Barnard's head for the goal. It was Russell's first goal of the season.

What proved to be the game winner for the Mountain Lions came in the 65th minute on a diving header by Alex Rivera, set up by a cross from the left side of the box by Khurram Shazad.

In the loss, Rollins narrowly outshot Young Harris, 18-17, while the Tars took six corner kicks compared to just two by the Mountain Lions.

Rollins keeper Keneil Baker picked up a save while Barnard recorded five on the afternoon.

The Tars will be back in action Wednesday, Sept. 12 when they play host to Eckerd. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. Fans can follow along with the action live on the Tars sports network on RollinsSports.com
