TAMPA, Fla. (November 5, 2011) - Lauryn Falcone finished 13th to lead the Rollins women's cross country team in a 10th place finish at the 2011 NCAA Division II South Region Championship.
Rollins totaled 232 points in the event, hosted by Tampa at Dover Park in Brandon, Florida. UT won the title with 28 points and advanced to the National Championship while runner-up West Florida (127) also earned a spot at nationals.
Falcone posted a time of 23:26 on the challenging course, finishing in 13th place. Justine Falcone had a career day and finished 15th with a time of 23:32. Mollie Jones stopped the clock at 24:43 and took 45th while Haley Haines finished 75th in a time of 26:10.
Senior Christina Goodwin took 84th place in 26:53 and Jennifer Rios finished 107th with a time of 34:27.
Blake Pierce completed as an individual for the men, results were not available.
Regionals completes the Tars 2011 season.
