WINTER PARK, Fla. (September 17, 2012) - For the second time this season, Rollins senior Lauryn Falcone has been named the Sunshine State Conference Runner of the Week, presented by VALIC.

Falcone was the winner of the Jim Ryun Invitational in Lakeland on Friday evening. She led the field of 63 runners with a time of 19:39.55, nearly two minutes ahead of the runner-up finisher. The victory was the first of Falcone's career, having tallied three previous second place finishes.

As a team, the Tars finished third in the seven-team event.

Rollins will be back in action on Friday, Sept. 28 at the FLrunners.com Invitational.
