WINTER PARK, Fla. (February 11, 2012) - Four players scored in double-figures for Rollins and none for Saint Leo as the 11th-ranked Tars decisively defeated the Lions 86-50 on Saturday.

The victory is Rollins' (19-3) fourth-straight and, after a Barry loss to Florida Southern, puts them alone atop the Sunshine State Conference standings at 10-2.

Sarah Blackburn, Paris Moore and Sarah Taylor each netted 12 points to lead Rollins while Kourtnie Berry added 11. All but one player who saw action scored for the Tars.

Saint Leo (6-17, 1-11 SSC) was led by nine points from Chelsea Williams and Kinnara Lewis.

The Tars owned a slight edge on the glass, 37-36, but forced 26 Saint Leo turnovers while committing just 13. The Tars shot 47 percent (30-64) from the field and were hot from long range, going 13-of-21 from beyond the arc. The Lions hit nine field goals in each half and shot 18-of-52 (34 percent) for the game. 

Saint Leo controlled the action early and led 9-5 after the first five minutes. Taylor hit a jumper and followed with an old fashioned 3-point play as Rollins went on a 14-2 run and took a 19-11 advantage with 11:04 in the half.

The Tars led 22-16 at the 10:12 mark and pulled away with a 15-0 spurt over the next four minutes and eventually took a 50-24 lead into intermission.

Rollins' offense stayed hot in the second half, pushing its advantage to 57-27 with 17:20 to play, and then 76-36 at the 12-minute mark. The Tars led by as much as 84-41 with three minute to play before Saint Leo closed the game on a 9-2 run.

The victory is Rollins' 30th in a row over Saint Leo, a winning streak that dates back to January 28, 1998.
