WINTER PARK, Fla. (April 2, 2012) - For her efforts in a week where the 17th ranked Tars went 5-0, first baseman Aimee Halpin was named SSC Player of the Week.

She reached base safely in all five contests en route to an impressive .772 on-base percentage. Halpin recorded three multi-hit games on the week and was a total of 5-6 in a three game sweep of Eckerd College to raise her average to a team high .418.

Her most notable performance came in game two of a double header sweep of the Mustangs of Mount Mercy University. The Orlando, Fla. native went 3-4, including a triple and a home run, with three runs scored to go along with her four runs batted in.

She also was a perfect 6-6 on stolen base attempts to raise her total to 28 on the year, also a team best.

Rollins will be back in action Thursday, April 5th when they welcome the Barry Buccaneers to Winter Park for game one of a three game set. First pitch is set for 7 pm with a double header to follow on Friday at 1 pm. Fans can follow all the action live on the Tars Sports Network at
