VALDOSTA Ga. (March 13, 2012) - Spencer Cole fired off three rounds of par or better and led Rollins to an eighth-place finish at the 2012 Southeastern Intercollegiate.

The Tars shot rounds of 297-292-289 in the star-studded event, finishing with 878 strokes. North Alabama was the runaway winner, totaling 841 strokes. Second place Barry shot 855 while Lynn was third with 861 strokes.

Cole posted his third-straight top-10 finish, taking sixth among the 75 golfers in the event. He opened with scores of 70 and 72 on Monday, then finished with a three-under par 69 Tuesday to hang 211 strokes.

Scott Lamb tied for 26th with 220 strokes. He shot a 76 in the first round, but ended with back-to-back rounds of 72.

Davis Hall and Hunter Stone both tied for 38th with scores of 225. Hall carded 77-75-73 while Stone shot 74-73-78. Tyler Sluman tied for 66th place, shootin g80-76-75 (231).

Rollins will be back on the links March 19-20 at the Georgia College Invitational.
