MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. (March 20, 2012) - Rollins finished where it started with a score of 285 Tuesday to tie for seventh at the Georgia College Bobcat Invitational.
The Tars carded rounds of 285-286-285 at the event, hosted at the Golf Club at Cuscowilla. Barry won by 10 strokes over Nova Southeastern, 833-843. UNC-Pembroke, Lynn and Armstrong Atlantic rounded out the top-five.
Tyler Sluman led the way for Rollins, tying for 16th. The newcomer opened play with a two-under 68, and then posted back-to-back rounds of 72 to finish with 212 strokes. Hunter Stone was a stroke back in a tie for 19th with 213 strokes. He turned in rounds of 73-69 on the first day and finished with a 71 Tuesday.
Scott Lamb tied for 28th place after scores of 70-75-70 (215). Spencer Cole tied for 31st place with a score of 216 (74-70-72) while Davis Hall tied for 79th, totaling 231 strokes (78-75-78).
The Bobcat Invitational concluded Rollins' regular season as they now gear up for postseason play. The Tars will next be in action April 16-17 at the Sunshine State Conference Championship, hosted b Tampa at Concession Golf Club in Bradenton.
