WINTER PARK, Fla. (March 5, 2017) – Rollins faced off with a very talented, Division I, Valparaiso squad on Sunday morning, falling to the Crusaders by a score of 6-1.  With the loss the Tars fall back to .500 at 3-3 on the year.  The Crusaders move to 8-1 on the 2017 campaign.

Playing by Division I rules, Valparaiso earned one point for their sweep of the doubles matches.  Ahmed Albitar and Daniel Ferl played out of the first position, dropping their contest by a score of 6-3.  Sami Kirberg and Ziad Melhaoui lost by the same core out of the third spot.

Kirberg earned the Tars only win of the day out of the third singles spot.  The freshman defeated Charlie Emhardt in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4 to record the victory.

The tars will match up with another Division I opponent as they continue their long home stand on Tuesday, March 7, against Belmont University.  First serve is set for 3 p.m.
