WINTER PARK, Fla. (February 19, 2017) – The Tars returned to their winning ways with a 6-3 triumph over Palm Beach Atlantic Sunday after noon.  With the win Rollins improves to 2-2 in the 2017 campaign while PBA falls to 1-2 on the year.

The Tars jumped out to an early lead, taking a pair of doubles matches in convincing fashion.  Fabiana Vitanza and Carlye Goldman coasted to an 8-2 win, playing out of the first position, while the pairing of Alexandra Borg and Savanna Fuller captured an 8-4 win.

Four Tars won their singles matches to help Rollins secure the team victory.  Vitanza picked up her second win of the day out of the first singles position, besting Valerie Nagovitcina 6-4, 6-1.  Fuller dominated her first set, 6-0, before her opponent Maja Jovic forfeited down 2-1 in the second.  Teresa Kaiser won the match clincher for the Tars, defeating Michaela Mignemi 6-2, 7-5, out of the fifth position.  Marie Debruyn added the Tars' final victory, for good measure, coming back after losing a first set tiebreaker to collect the win out of the sixth spot.

Rollins will head on the road for the first time next week.  The Tars head north to Pensacola, Florida where they will take on No. 7 West Florida on Friday, February 24, at 10 a.m.  Rollins will remain in Pensacola to faceoff with Alabama-Huntsville the next day, Saturday, February 25, also at 10 a.m.
