WINTER PARK, Fla. (March 8, 2017) – The No. 38 Tars earned a hard fought victory over the No. 36 Embry-Riddle Eagles on Wednesday afternoon.  Rollins climbed to 5-5 on the year while the Eagles drop to 2-7 on the 2017 campaign.

Rollins jumped out to an early lead, taking two of the three doubles matches.  Shannon Etten and Carlye Goldman paired up for the first time this season, winning their match 8-4 out of the second spot.  Savanna Fuller and Teresa Kaiser improved to 6-2 on the season with am 8-5 win in the third position.

The Tars and the Eagles split the singles matches, three matches a piece. Etten cruised to a victory over Georgia Wood, winning 6-2, 6-1.  Kaiser registered a straight set victory, taking her match out of the sixth position 6-1, 6-3.  Fuller recovered, after dropping the second set, to win a three set battle over Kathryn Bock, 6-2, 1-6, 6-2.

The Tars take on the Wayne State Warriors on Friday, March 10.  The first serve is set to take place at 2:00 p.m.
