Mendoza and Hodges led the Tars in a five-set thriller over Sunshine State Conference foe Florida Southern in the first round of the South Regional Tournament. Hodges secured the win for Rollins in game five on a kill after a costly Mocs error gave the Tars match point.
In Rollins' first ever postseason win, Mendoza notched a match-high 26 kills for a .361 attack percentage, 15 digs, and five blocks. Hodges, who was also named SSC Freshman of the Year, racked up 21 kills and eight digs against Florida Southern.
In the second round against No. 21 West Florida, Mendoza hit a .351 on 15 kills, to go along with nine digs. Hodges chipped in with her 10 kills and six digs. In two matches played, Mendoza averaged 5.12 kills, 3.00 digs, and 0.62 blocks per set. Hodges averaged 3.88 kills and 1.75 digs per set.
