WINTER PAR, Fla. (March 10, 2012) - In just his second start of the season, Anthony Figliolia pitched a complete game against the sixth-ranked Grand Valley State Lakers for a 2-1 victory to wrap up the 64th Annual Rollins College Baseball Week event.

Figliolia (3-0) almost had the Tars' fourth shutout of the season in the books but gave up a two-out single in the top of the ninth.  The right-hander finished the two-hour contest with four strikeouts and allowed no walks.  He gave up the one run and scattered six hits.

Rollins registered a season-low four hits, scoring the first run of the day in the bottom of the third.  Steve Betcherman led off the inning with a single to left and advanced to second on a Nick Adams walk.  Zach Persky then placed the two in scoring position on a sacrifice bunt.  Kevin Mager then drove in Betcherman on a RBI single.

Two scoreless innings followed before the Tars tacked on their final run in the bottom of the sixth.  Brian Lattanzi got things rolling as he was able to reach first on a throwing error by the Lakers third baseman.  A sacrifice bunt by Sean Reilly moved Lattanzi over to second and a fielder's choice to third.  Hunter Mayfield then drove in Lattanzi on a RBI single.

Grand Valley State starter Ryan Garman received the loss for the Lakers in four innings of work, striking out four and allowing three walks.

Adams, Mager, Mayfield and Betcherman were the only Tars to register a hit against the Lakers.

Rollins will be back in action on Wednesday, March 14 as the Tars host the Pace Setters.  First pitch is set for 6 p.m.  Fans can follow along all season long on the Tars Sports Network at
