Rollins will open up the season against the Kentucky State Thorobrettes in the fourth match of the day, which is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on Friday.  The No. 22 Tars will then match-up against California (Pa.) at 8 p.m.  On day two of the tournament, Rollins will face the Pace University Setters at 12:40 p.m., followed by an 8 p.m. showdown against MSU Moorhead.  Fans can follow the action live on the Tars Sports Network at RollinsSports.com on the Rollins College Invitational tournament page, which features links to live stats, audio and video.

Also participating in the Rollins College Invitational are the No. 19 Eckerd Tritons and the Chestnut Hill College Griffins.

The Tars finished 24-11 one year ago, earning their second consecutive NCAA Division II postseason bid.  Rollins was ousted in the second round of the regional by the No. 19 Eckerd Tritons.  Rollins returns all six starters from last season, including All-American Megan Hodges.  The 6-0 outside hitter racked up multiple postseason accolades last season and ranked 16th nationally in kills per set (4.23) and 19th in points per set (4.79).  Hodges also led the Sunshine State Conference in kills with 550.

A week after Rollins' home opener, the Tars will hit the road for the Eckerd College Classic scheduled for Sept. 7-8 in St. Petersburg, Fla.
