WINTER PARK, Fla. – Rollins starting pitcher Tim Griffin and outfielder Taylor Ferguson were tabbed to the American Baseball Coaches Association All-South Region First Team, while catcher Ben Hewett captured Gold Glove South Region accolades selected by the region's head baseball coaches.

Griffin, the Sunshine State Conference Pitcher of the Year, ended his senior year with an 11-3 record and a 2.76 ERA to lead the team.  The two-year starter also led the team in complete-games with seven and tossed three shutouts in his final campaign.

Ferguson, a SSC First-Team member, ends his Rollins career with his name scattered in the record books.  The Charlton, Mass., native set the Tars’ single-season in hits (99), doubles (27) and total bases (172).  He also ends with 14 home runs, 58 RBIs, and 68 runs scored.

Hewett becomes the second student-athlete in as many years to be named to the South Region Gold Glove team.  The Framingham, Mass., native threw out 20 batters and finished with a .978 fielding percentage to garner the award.  He also allowed just two passed balls and recorded 400 put outs with 42 assists.

Valdosta State's Brandon Decker was the South Region Player of the Year and Southern Arkansas' Hayden Simpson was the South Region Pitcher of the Year.  Tampa's Joe Urso was the South Region Coach of the Year.
