Griffin was leader for the Tars’ starting rotation. With an 11-3 record and a .276 ERA, Griffin was the driving force of Rollins’ late-season run, which saw the Tars capture 18 of its final 22 games to propel them into the NCAA Division II South Region Tournament for the first time since 2005.
A native of Jacksonville, Fla., Griffin tossed seven complete-games with three shutouts and led the conference in opponent batting average with a .233 mark. It was Griffins dominating pitching performances that led Rollins to tie the school’s single-season shutout record with eight.
The two-year transfer wraps up his stellar career with a 2.97 ERA and an overall record of 18-6. He pitched a total of 184.2 innings and recorded 188 strikeouts.
