2010 (Senior):  Finished with a .310 average and 78 hits, nine doubles, two home runs and 27 RBIs…second on the team with 24 multi-base hits…finished with five two-RBI performances…season-high in hits occurred against Florida Southern (5/13/10) at the NCAA Division II South Region Tournament with a 4-for-5 performance…second on the team in runs scored with 62…played a part in 37 double plays and was the Tars’ most effective fielder…scored a career-high four runs at Eckerd (4/17/10)…lone triple of the season came against Puerto Rico-Bayamon and only homer occurred versus Flagler (4/6/10)…led the conference in stolen bases with 25…stole a career-best three stolen bases in the series finale against Lynn (4/2/10).

2009 (Junior):
  Appeared and started in 52 games and finished with a .299 batting average…tallied three doubles and a team-high three triples…collected 23 RBIs and was tied for second on the team with 15 walks…was the team-best in stolen bases with 11 on 13 attempts…fourth in the team with 18 multi-hit games…six multi-RBI contests…hit a season-best five hits and tallied four RBIs against Columbia Union (5/7/09).

2007 (Sophomore): Started in 53 games as a sophomore for Murray State...hit .237 with six doubles, collecting 14 RBIs...showed off speed with five stolen bases and defensive skills with a 156 putouts...one of four  players to start every game.

2006 (Freshman): Led the team with 119 assists at shortstop...led the OVC in fielding among shortstops...took part in a team-high 22 double plays...third on the team with 197 defensive chances...had a season-high three hits against Evansville on March 28, when he also had a season-high seven assists...had a season-high five putouts at Mississippi on March 8, in the game where he assisted with a triple play.

High School:
In his senior season, helped United Township High to the WB6 title...named All-WB6 and All-Metro...also participated in basketball at UTHS, where he earned all-state honorable mention, All-Metro and All-WB6.

Personal:
Born Justin Stephen Yount on Aug. 2, 1986, the son of Steve and Beth Yount...has one brother, Garrett (17)...graduated from United Township with a 3.76 grade-point average...a member of the National Honor Society and the Student Council...an honor roll honoree...majoring in business administration.
