WINTER PARK, Fla. (March 6, 2012) - Coming off its seventh Sunshine State Conference Tournament championship, Rollins moved up two spots to No. 15 in the latest USA TODAY/ESPN Division II Coaches poll.
Wayne State (Neb.) is the new No. 1, moving up one spot. Ashland is second while Edinboro is third.
The Tars (24-5) have won four-straight, starting with a win over Nova Southeastern to win the SSC regular season title and, most recently, a victory over Florida Southern to take the conference crown.
The loss to Rollins didn't affect FSC's standing as they remained No. 19.
The Tars and Mocs are the only two teams in the NCAA South Region to appear in the rankings. Alabama-Huntsville received votes.
Rollins will host the NCAA Division II South Region Tournament March 9, 10 and 12th in Winter Park.
