SARASOTA, Fla. (April 2, 2017) – Rollins came home from the Florida Intercollegiate Rowing Association (FIRA) Championships with some hardware. The Tars Novice 4 took second place to lead the way while the Novice 8 finished third.

The boat of Rashaunna Campbell, Alex Khan, Sufia Ahmed, Victoria Scott and Alyssa Rabade (cox) posted a time of 9:07.1 in the final on Friday afternoon, just four seconds behind winner Tampa. The Tars were five ticks head of Florida and 37 in front of Georgia Tech.

The Tars Novice 8 of Alisha Koti, Victoria Jones, Nikita Wallace, Evelyn Vilarreal, Dani Temple, Nicole vitt, Ashley Kinsley, Victoria Scott, and Emma Battle (cox) were in the mix the entire way down the course and posted a time of 7:39.9. UF won the race in 7:26.1 and Nova Southeastern was second in 7:31.2.

Rollins is back on the water Saturday, April 8 at the Knecht Cup in Princeton, New Jersey.
