WINTER PARK, Fla. (March 03, 2017)- The Rollin’s College Women’s Rowing team will start up their 2017 campaign at the 37th annual Metro Cup Regatta hosted on Lake Maitland, where they will go head to head against top competition.

The Tars will rely on experience in the upcoming meet, as well as the rest of the season, as they return seven seniors this year. Senior Isabella Sandoval is coming off a third-place finish at Dad Vails last season, and she looks to improve on that finish this weekend. Along with their veteran squad, the Tars have added some new faces, including five on varsity.

In the Fall, the Tars Novice 4 (line-up) finished in 2nd place, right behind the University of Florida. Head Coach Shawn Pistor commented on the women getting a “taste” of the competition and racing in the fall, and they look to use that experience in the water this weekend as they compete for the first time this spring.
