WINTER PARK, Fla. (May 26, 2016) - The Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) announced the scholar athletes for the 2015-16 season on Thursday, with three Tars taking home the honor.

All student-athletes who earned the honor must have met all eligibility rules by the institution, is in her second, third, or fourth year of eligibility, she rowed in her institution’s NCAA or IRA eligible boat(s) for a minimum of 75% of the current spring races or racing in a regional in a regional conference event, and the student-athlete has had a 3.5 cumulative GPA or higher.

For Rollins, Kelly Farrell, Mattie Scull and Darby Thomas received the distinction. Farrell maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.52 through the Fall semester while pursuing her degree in Art History while Scull carried a GPA of 3.59 in English.

Thomas maintained a 3.52 GPA through the Fall while working towards a degree in Business.
