WINTER PARK, Fla. (April 17, 2017) – With one more game remaining on their regular season slate, the Rollins women’s lacrosse team has earned the nod at No. 6 on this week’s IWLCA Division II Poll, organization officials announced Monday.

The Tars check in at No. 6 for the third time this season, and drop one position from their previous fifth place ranking that they rode for two consecutive weeks.  Rollins has another challenging game ahead of them as they are set to take on No. 9 Florida Tech on Thursday evening in their regular season finale, squaring up against their seventh nationally-ranked opponent this season.

The top four remain the same from last week, with Adelphi earning the No. 1 slot and 17 first place votes as they hold onto a record of 12-0.  Lindenwood, who is 15-0 on the season, checks in at No. 2 and received two first place votes, while Le Moyne sits third and earned one vote for first as they sit with an overall record of 12-0.

Sunshine State Conference member Florida Southern continues to ride the poll at No. 4, owning a record of 16-2, followed by LIU Post, who swaps spots with the Tars this week and comes in at No. 5.  Rollins is followed by Limestone at No. 7, while Queens (N.C.) and Florida Tech check in at eighth and ninth, respectively.  New Haven climbs from 12th to 10th this week to round out the Top-10.
