WINTER SPRINGS, Fla. (March 13, 2017) – Rollins and Nova Southeastern both finished Monday 19 over par to sit tied atop the leaderboard heading into the final round of the 2017 Peggy Kirk Bell Memorial Invitational.

The Tars are hosting the event at Tuscawilla Country Club in Winter Springs. The tournament honors the memory of Rollins alumnus and LPGA legend Peggy Kirk Bell, who passed away in November at the age of 95.

Rollins turned in scores of 291 and 304 on the day for its score of 595 strokes. NSU carded 298-297. Montevallo is third with a score of 598 (300-298) while Flagler is fourth with 605 strokes (302-303).

The Tars “B” team has 657 strokes and is tied for 11th among the 14 teams.

Seher Atwal leads Rollins and is alone in third after scores of 72-73, posting a one-over 145. Lexie Toth shot scores of 73-76 and is tied for eighth with 149 shots. Selin Timur is tied for 10th place with 150 shots, carding scores of 74-76. Madison Lellyo is a shot back after an even-par 72 to open and 79 in the afternoon round to sit tied for 14. Paige Lyle carded scores of 82-83 and is tied for 56th with 165 shots.

Viviana Vazquez tops the Tars “B” squad, sitting tied for 33rd. She carded two rounds of 78 to total 156 strokes. Senior Julie Steinbauer is alone in 48th with 161 (79-82) strokes while Sara Riascos is 66th with rounds of 87-82 (169 strokes). Shyanne Lovan has 171 strokes (85-86) and is tied for 69th while Julia Malone is 77th with 184 (93-91) shots.

Nova Southeastern’s Michelle Ruiz leads the field with 142 strokes after rounds of 72-70.

The final round of the Peggy Kirk Bell Memorial Invitational is slated to begin with a shotgun 8:30 a.m. start on Tuesday, March 14.
