PALM DESERT, Calif. (March 16, 2017) – Rollins opened the Augustana Spring Fling with a 19-over 307 on Thursday to sit second with 18-holes left to play.

The seventh-ranked Tars trail third-ranked Indianapolis by nine strokes and are eight strokes ahead of third-place CSU-San Marcos. UIndy is the only school outside of the Sunshine State Conference to win the NCAA Division II National Championship, taking the 2015 championship over the runner-up Tars.

Lexie Toth fired an even-par 72 and is tied for first after the opening 18 holes. The junior posted a solid four birdies on the day, playing both the front and back even par.

Madison Lellyo and Selin Timur are tied for eighth with matching scores of 77. Seher Atwal is tied for 30th after shooting an 81 while Viviana Vazquez is tied for 45th with a round of 86.

Rollins also has five playing as individuals. Senior Paige Lyle is only two shots off the pace and sits fourth after firing a two-over 74. Fellow senior Julie Steinbauer is tied for 17th with a round of 78. Sara Riascos and Shyanne Lovan both shot eight-over scores of 80 and are tied for 21st. Julia Malone is tied for 36th with a round of 83.

The Augustana-hosted Spring Fling will conclude with a final round on Friday, March 18 beginning at 4 p.m. ET. Live scoring can be found at
