LAKELAND, Fla. (February 20, 2017) – Rollins posted two solid rounds Monday to sit second at the start of the Lady Moc Classic at Grassland Country Club in Lakeland.
Barry is on a tournament record-setting pace and leads the field with 593 strokes after scores of 298-295. The Tars are just five shots back with 598 strokes, posting rounds of 302-296. Saint Leo (300-302) is third with a score of 600. Rollins B squad is 17th with 678 (337-341) strokes.
Paige Lyle is alone in second, just a shot off the pace, with an even-par 144. The senior posted a one-over 73 in the morning round and came back with the best score of round two in a one-under 71.
Lexie Toth and Seher Atwal are tied for 11th with matching scores of 149. Toth, who was runner-up at the event last season, shot scores of 75-75 while freshman Atwal shot 75-74. Madison Lellyo is tied for 41st (80-76) with 156 strokes and Selin Timur is tied for 49th after rounds of 80-78 (158).
Viviana Vazquez leads the Tars B squad, shooting a pair of 80s to sit tied for 54th with 160 strokes. Julie Steinbauer is 79th with a score of 167 (83-84) and Shyanne Lovan is tied for 87th after rounds of 84-89 (173). Julia Malone is tied for 94th with scores of 90-88 (178).
Tilda Larsson of Barry leads the field, shooting 70-73 to sit one-under par with 143 strokes.
The final round of the Lady Moc Classic starts at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 21.
