MIAMI SHORES (November 13, 2016) – The Tars close out the 2016 season with a loss to the Barry Bucs in the second round of the NCAA South Region Tournament.  Rollins ends the campaign with a record of 11-4-3, while Barry moves onto the South Region Final with a mark of 11-3-2.

The Tars dominated the first half, creating chances, and controlling possession; however the two team went into the break tied at 0-0.  Finally, Rollins got on the board, in the 68th minute, when Emma Bloom settled an Ally Rost cross, turning, and volleying the ball into the back of the net.  Rollins held the lead until the 88th minute when Barry equalized with a header.  The Bucs then tallied the winner just 34 seconds into the overtime period.  Kelly Rowswell made five saves in net for the Tars.

Linnea Kogsta and Shannell McDonnell scored for Barry, while McDonnell and Sarah Wignall registered assists.  Paula Ferero made three saves, playing the full time for the Bucs.

·      Rost’s assist on the Rollins goal was the first point in her Rollins career.
·      Head Coach Alicia Schuck finishes the season with 81 career wins, just one win shy of the program record held by Tony Amato
·      With her goal, Bloom tied Keri Dye for tenth in career points, in Rollins history, with 61.
