BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (March 9, 2017) – Rollins sophomore Grace Hansen kicked off the Tars weekend at the NCAA Division II Swimming National Championship Thursday morning.

Hansen posted a time of 4:35.23 in the 400-yard IM prelims to sit 30th after the morning session. Her mark did not earn a spot in Thursday night’s finals.

“I’m proud of Grace’s performance this morning and, most importantly, her resilience in the face of adversity,” said head coach Kyle Berg. “She is representing Rollins with a ton of pride and has set herself up well for the 200 Fly tomorrow.”

Hansen is back in the pool Friday, March 10 for prelims of the 200-yard butterfly. Teammate Taylor Wilks starts her National Championship on Friday, swimming in the 100-yard breaststroke prelims.
