WINTER PARK, Fla. (January 12, 2010) – Rollins men’s and women’s swim meet against Sewanee, originally scheduled for 3 p.m., has been moved to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 13 at the Alfond Pool.

The Tars began 2010 on Jan. 6 at the annual Winter Invitational in Daytona Beach with the men finishing fifth and the women taking sixth. Temperatures outside fell into the 30’s, but the teams took advantage of Daytona State’s indoor aquatic center. On Saturday, however, Rollins hosted Westminster at the outdoor Alfond Pool in less than ideal conditions. A record cold morning for Central Florida blanketed the area with snow flurries and freezing rain. The Tars fell to the Titans as the meet set school records for the fastest, 50 minutes relay to relay, and the coldest with afternoon temperatures in the lower 40’s.

Conditions for Wednesday’s meet look promising with forecasters calling for sunny skies and temperatures in the 60’s.
