NORFLOK, Va. – Both Rollins’ men’s and women’s swim teams have been named College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America Scholar All-American Teams.  The awards are in recognition of teams’ that achieved a grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the 2016 Fall Semester.  The Tars’ men’s team earned a 3.42 GPA, while the women amassed a 3.33.

The men’s 3.42 GPA placed them in a tie for sixth among NCAA Division II schools.  Nine male swimmers were also named to the Rollins Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the semester.  The Tars women’s team placed 10 swimmers on the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.

CSCAA Executive Director Joel Shinofield says, "Our coaches understand that the essence of intercollegiate athletics is the experience each student-athlete receives, and an emphasis on academics reflects what coaches feel is most important.
