HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. (October 4, 2009) – Rollins shot a final round 295 and finished fourth at the Mission Inn Fall Intercollegiate, Sunday.
The Tars turned in scores of 291-300-295 over the three day event, hosted by St. John’s University at the Mission Inn El Campéon course. Rollins’ 886 strokes were 22 behind winner Florida Gulf Coast (864) and four behind runner-up Stetson (882). Appalachian State (884) took third place.
Jordan Lewis paced the Tars with a sixth place finish. The junior opened with a three under 69 on Friday and followed with rounds of 75 Saturday and 72 Sunday to finish with 216 strokes. J.D. Guiney tied for 15th with a score of 222. He shot 74 in the first round before finishing with scores of 73 and 75 on the weekend.
Colin Dolph carded rounds of 74-76-74 and tied for 21st with 224 strokes. Fatehbir Dhaliwal was one back of Dolph, finishing tied for 23rd with a score of 225 (75-76-74) while Hunter Stone tied for 28th with 227 strokes (74-78-75).
The Tars will be back in action on October 12th at the Queens University Invitational, hosted at the TPC-Valley course in Jacksonville.
