WINTER PARK, Fla. (March 15, 2017) – The Tars controlled the match from start to finish, easily dispelling Alabama-Huntsville on Wednesday afternoon.  With the win the No. 32 Tars improve to 7-5 on the year.  The Chargers fall to 5-10 on the campaign.

Rollins jumped out to an early lead after a solid effort in the doubles matches. Ahmed Albitar and Daniel Ferl put their match away quickly in the first position, winning 8-2.  Sami Kirberg and Ziad Melhaoui were not far behind, winning 8-3 in the third position.  Patrick Sell and Cody Gubin rounded out trio of wins with an 8-5 victory in the second spot.

The Tars iced the match away with dominating singles performances.  Sell, Francesco Racanelli and Albitar all shut out their opponents in the first set en route to easy victories in the first, second, and third positions.  Melhaoui cruised, earning 6-1, 6-1 wins.  Kirberg and Gubin won their first sets 7-5 and 6-3 respectively, before shutting out the second sets to capture straight sets victories.

The Tars continue their home stand on Friday, March 17, when they host No. 23 St. Mary’s (TX).  The Tars and the Rattlers will take the court at 10 a.m.
