LOS ANGELES, Calif. (March 12, 2017) – The Tars struggled in the opener of their three match California road trip.  Rollins fell to Cal State-Los Angeles by a score of 8-1.  With the loss Rollins drops to 6-6 on the year.  The No. 29 Golden Eagles improve to 8-4.

The Tars failed to win a doubles match, falling behind 3-0 after the team portion of the competition.

Carlye Goldman tallied the Tars lone victory on the day.  The sophomore captured the victory out of the third position.  The Boca Raton, Florida native took the first set 6-3, then won a tiebreaker in the second to take the straight set victory.

Rollins will continue their road trip as they head to No. 13 UC-San Deigo on Tuesday, March 14.  First serve is set for 5:00 p.m.
