MELBOURNE, Fla. (April 17, 2017) – Rollins junior Grant Ashline was voted Sunshine State Conference player of the week for his efforts this past weekend against the No.18 Nova Southeastern Sharks.

The Tars were able to take the first game of the series 3-2, as well as the last game of the series against the Sharks 8-6, to claim the series victory, 2-1.

Ashline was a huge part of the Tars success against the Sharks, going 4-9 in three games with two hits, five runs scored, a RBI, and was walked three times. He hit two triples in the series, his first two of the season including a pivotal one in the ninth inning of the first game of the series, which led to him scoring the game winning run.
