Rollins vs. Lynn

The Tars will look to honor four seniors by giving a stellar performance against Lynn on Saturday.  For the women Kylie Klotzbach and Rachel Acers will be diving into the Alfond Pool for their last home competition, while the men are sending off Benjamin Gebauer and Branford Rimbert.

The Lynn women are coming off a pair of defeats in a tri-meet against conference foes Saint Leo and Florida Tech.  The Fighting Knights currently sit at No. 43 in the Women’s Team Rankings.  For both squads the meet will be the final competitive action before they begin tapering in preparation for the Sunshine State Conference Championship Meet, set to take place in Orlando, Florida, from February 16th through 19th.

Women: Rollins is coming off a tri-meet showing where they were defeated by Saint Leo and Trinity (TX).  The Tars did manage two individual first place finishes in the meet.  Grace Hansen was victorious in the 200 Yard Butterfly, while Cara Dealy topped the 200 Yard Individual Medley.

Along with their pair of wins the Tars also tallied a trio of second place finishes and two third place results.

The current Tars roster holds five individual school records.  Hansen, in the 400 Yard Individual Medley, and Makenzie Grider, in the 500 Yard Freestyle, both set marks earlier in the season.  Taylor Wilks currently holds three records, the 200 Yard Individual Medley, the 100 Yard Breaststroke, and the 200 Yard Breaststroke.

Men: The men will be swimming exhibition, as a final tune up for the SSC Championships.

Top performers Gebauer, Luiggi Reno, and Arron Nestor will look to pace the Tars as the begin their preparation for the competition.
