DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (February 16, 2012) - Facing the third ranked team in NAIA, NCAA Division II ninth-ranked Rollins fell to Embry-Riddle Thursday, 7-2.

Rollins (0-2) fell into a 3-0 hole after doubles play, facing three ranked tandems. Lisa Loft and Stefania Tkach lost to fourth-ranked Yi Ching Chen and Josefine Strom at No. 2 while Callie Whitlock and Elissa DeCampli lost to seventh-ranked Rocio Frej Vitallie and Ekaterina Kamendova 8-1 in the second match. In the No. 3 match, Ashley Rosenberg and Bradleigh Lore fell to 14^th-ranked Paola Montero and Kristina Marova 8-1.

Rollins picked up two points in single play, winning the No. 4 and No. 5 match. DeCampli scored a 6-7(2), 6-3, 10-8 over 28^th-ranked Marova while Whitlock beat 43^rd-ranked Strom 6-1, 5-7, 6-4.

Tkach lost a three-set battle to fifth-ranked Frej Vitalle, 6-1, 2-6, 6-1.

The Tars will look for their first win of the season Tuesday, Feb. 21 at Tampa.
