KANSAS CITY, Mo. (September 26, 2017) – After a close battle with No. 4 Lynn, and a dominating, 6-1, effort over Nova Southeastern, the Tars have climbed inside of the top-20 for the first time this year, settling in at No. 17 in the latest United Soccer Coaches National Poll, it was announced Tuesday.

Lynn remains the highest ranked team in the Sunshine State Conference, climbing one spot to No. 4. Palm Beach Atlantic, the Tars' Saturday opponent, held steady in eighth. The Tars climbed six spots, from No. 23, to earn the seventeenth ranking, the highest Rollins has been placed this season. Florida Tech also broke into the poll, coming in at No. 24 after receiving votes the previous two weeks.
Rollins was tripped up by then No. 5 Lynn, 1-0, in a hard fought game to start last week's competition. Rollins recovered from their first loss of 2017 by handing Nova Southeastern a 6-1 beating on Saturday.
The Tars will travel to the Tampa Spartans for their next contest, tomorrow, October 4, with kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m. Rollins will close out the week with a top-20 clash if the form of a Saturday visit from No. 8 Palm Beach Atlantic.
