LAKELAND, Fla. (September 2, 2017) – The Tars women's cross country team traveled to Lakeland and finished fifth at the season-opening Holloway Preseason Festival on Saturday.
Rollins earned 155 points on the day while Saint Leo topped the Division II standings with 27 points. Embry-Riddle (37) was second and co-host Florida Southern (75) took third. Southeastern posted a perfect score of 15 to easily win the NAIA-Small School division.
Marta Lazowik led the Tars, finishing 88th of 116 runners with a time of 14:09 in the 3k race. Alex Lichtner stopped the clock at 18:25 in 111th place, Nicole Hubert was 112th (18:47) and Ester Kim finished 113th in 18:58. Deborah Kim finished 114th in 20:59.
Rollins is back in action on Saturday, Sept. 9 at the Florida Tech Invitational in Melbourne.
