Collegiate Baseball Newspaper Spotlights Two Tars

TUCSON, Ariz. (January 22, 2019) – With the start of the 2019 season less than two weeks away, Rollins put two players on Collegiate Baseball Newspaper preseason lists. 

Senior pitcher Cameron Enck was named a South Region Player to Watch while transfer pitcher Drew Daczkowski landed on the South Region Newcomers to Watch list. 

Enck transferred to Rollins from Maryland last season and posted a 4.64 ERA in 12 appearances for the Tars. He led the team with 75 strikeouts to just 20 walks over 66 innings pitched. Three times he had games with nine strikeouts and fanned 12 over eight innings against Palm Beach Atlantic. 

Daczkowski comes to Rollins after playing at High Point the past two years. He was second team All-Big South as a freshman and led the Panthers in wins, innings pitched and strikeouts. Over two seasons at HPU, he posted a 3.17 ERA and held opponents to just a .201 batting average.
