WINTER PARK, Fla. (March 8, 2019) – Cameron Montgomery drove in five runs and was a double away from the cycle, leading Rollins in a bounce back win over Malone, 11-4.

The Tars improve to 10-7 on the year and drop the Pioneers to 9-5 on the season.

Montgomery went 3-4 with five RBIs and two runs scored. His fifth-inning, two-run homer broke a 3-3 tie and started the Tars offensive onslaught in the late innings.

Luke Reidy hit 2-4 with two RBI and Kyle Hintz blasted a solo home run. Jack Gonzalez and Sam LaFontaine knocked in one run each.

Cameron Enck threw seven solid innings, scattering seven hits and allowing two earned runs while striking out nine. Whit Drennan finished off the win, surrendering one run on two hits with three strikeouts.

Tyson Gringerich led Malone at the plate, going 3-5. Matt Noel hit 1-4 with two RBIs. Preston Stanley took the loss in relief, allowing six runs on three hits and three walks.

Malone scored in the top of the first, but the Tars pulled even in their half of the frame with Jack Gonzalez bringing Brendan Brundage home. Hintz gave Rollins a 2-1 lead with a homer to left in the second.

Both teams scored in the third, the Tars on a Reidy RBI double.

The Pioneers again tied the score in the fourth 3-3 before Montgomery's two-run blast put the Tars on top 5-3. Montgomery ripped a bases loaded triple in the sixth and put Rollins in the driver's seat, 8-3.

LaFontaine scored on a Brundage sac fly in the seven, but Malone got it back in the eighth and pulled to within 9-4. A Reidy RBI double and LaFontaine RBI single in the eighth then put the game away for the Tars.
