Set-up: The Tars are set to host Sunshine State Conference opponent Eckerd for a three game series March 22-23 at Alfond Stadium. Rollins traveled last weekend to Palm Beach Atlantic for a three game series winning the final game 5-4 in the 11th inning to salvage a double header split. The Tars pitching staff has led the way on the year, ranking third in the SSC on strikeouts. The Tritons are 7-5 against Sunshine State Conference schools in 2019, taking two of three at Florida Southern their first time out Eckerd is 7-3 with away games but the Tars are 11-2 at home and will be hosting an SSC team for the first time this year.

Tracking the Tars: Rollins took one for three against Palm Beach Atlantic on the road last week. Rollins is averaging sic runs per game. Jack Gonzalez leads the Tars at the plate hitting .348 with 11 RBIs and two home runs. Cameron Montgomery is .324 at the plate with 10 RBIs and three home-runs in the last 10 games he has played. Cameron Meehan leads the Tars in RBIs with 24 and has a .283 average.

Whit Drennan has pitched in 25 innings and has a 2.13 ERA to lead the Tars. He also has 36 strikeouts to just 11 walks. Cameron Enck has 2.79 ERA, with 33 strikeouts in 42 innings while posting a record of 4-2. Jimmy Robbins leads the Tars in strikeouts with 44.

Tracking the Tritons: Eckerd won two of three at Florida Southern this past weekend. EC's leader at the plate is Garrett Hiott. He has a .385 BA with two home runs, and 16 RBIs. Hiott has started and played in all 25 games this season. Nick Arrivo is .357 at the plate with three doubles and 14 RBIs. Mitch Calandra with a .330 BA with one homerun and team best 28 RBIs.

Dillon McCollough has a 1.70 ERA, and is 5-0, pitch in 53 innings, with 70 strikeouts. Robin Allen (3-0) has a 1.91 ERA and 35 strikeouts.

· Rollins first sighting of Eckerd is back in 1999.

· Rollins is 88-69-1 all time against the Tritons.

· Eckerd swept the series last year (3-1,7-11,5-4)

· Kyle Hintz is 3rd in the nation for hit by pitcher.

· Rollins hits .284 as a team; Eckerd hits .283

· Whit Drennan leads the SSC in opposing batting average (1.67).

· Jimmy Robbins is third in the SSC in strikeouts (44); Garrett is 7th (42).
