WINTER PARK, Fla. (April 16, 2019) – Rollins left the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth and couldn't complete its comeback, falling to Flagler 7-5 in nonconference action on Tuesday.

Jack Gonzalez hit 3-4 with three RBIs and two runs scored to lead the Tars. The senior blasted his sixth homer of the season and improves his hitting streak to 15 games. Sam LaFontaine also went deep for the Tars as part of a 2-4 night at the plate. Luke Reidy hit 2-5 with Brendan Brundage driving in a run.

The Saints plated three in the fifth to take a 4-1 lead.
Rollins kept pace in its half of the fifth with LaFontaine's leadoff home run and a Brundage sac fly getting the Tars to within 4-3.
Flagler then scored two in the sixth and another in the seventh to push Rollins into a 7-3 hole.
LaFontaine led off the seventh with a single and scored on Gonzalez deep shot over the right-center wall, getting Rollins to within 7-5.
After Casey Wright shutdown the Saints in the top of the ninth, LaFontaine was plunked and Gonzalez walked to put the potential winning run at the plate. Reidy flied out, but Brundage was hit by the next pitch to lead the bases for Cameron Montgomery. He gave 2-1 pitch a ride to deep right, but it was tracked down by the Saints to end the game.
