Set-up: Rollins is coming off a series loss against Barry Buccaneers which Rollins won the third and final game 8-0 but dropped the first two. The Tars will look to start a winning stretch, starting with a mid-week home game against Florida Southern then heading to Tampa for a three-game series the following weekend. Rollins is 23-16 (11-10 SSC) on the year. Florida Southern is 21-19 (7-14 SSC). The Moc's last game won was this past weekend against Palm Beach Atlantic 3-0. The Tars took two of the three off the Mocs earlier this year. Tampa is on a five game winning streak with the overall record being 30-11 (13-8 SSC). The Spartans last win was this past weekend against No. 13 North Georgia series on the road.
Tracking the Tars:
After dropping the series opener to Barry, Rollins won the third and final game on Saturday. The Tars shut the Buccaneers out winning 8-0. Rollins is sixth in the SSC standings with three weeks left in the season.
Jack Gonzalez leads the Tars on the season, hitting .350 with seven homeruns and 27 RBIs. Nick Santucci had a big weekend against Barry, hitting a three run homerun and is now hitting .263. Luke Reidy is hitting a .305 with 18 RBIs and three homeruns.
Tracking the Mocs:
Jacob Teter leading Florida Southern with a .345 average, 47 RBIs and seven homeruns. Zach Scott hitting a .325 average with 33 RBIs and seven homeruns.
Leo Rodriguez with a 0.47 ERA with appearing in 15 games and pitching in 19.1 innings with 28 strikeouts. Cooper Bradford leads the team with 73 strikeouts and a 4.75 ERA.
Tracking the Spartans:
Yorvis Torrealba is hitting a .404 average on the year with 29 RBIs and six home-runs. Danny Sirven with a .371 with 38 RBIs, four-runs and nine doubles.
James Reynolds pitching in 38.0 innings with 31 strikeouts and throwing a 1.66 ERA. Keven Pimentel leads the team with 72 strikeouts and pitched in 74.2 innings and a 3.01 ERA.
