MELBOURNE, FLA. (May 15, 2019)- Rollins sophomore Jimmy Robbins was named All-Sunshine State Conference Baseball team, the league announced Wednesday.
An Orlando native, Robbins landed on the second team as a starting pitcher.
Robbins went 7-5 on the year with a 3.40 ERA second in team-high 76.2 innings. The redshirt-sophomore punched 105 strikeouts, ranking second in the Sunshine State Conference and 18th nationally, to just 35 walks. Opponents hit .215 against the left-hander.
Three times this season, Robbins had double-digit strikeouts. He fanned 14 in seven innings against Assumption, 10 against SSC Champion Eckerd and 11 at Barry.
