Rollins junior pitcher Brad Case was selected by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 17th round of the 2018 MLB Amateur Draft on Wednesday.
Rollins played all 14 seniors Saturday, but were held in check by solid Florida Tech pitching and lost its season finale 6-1 Saturday afternoon.
Brian Auerbach didn’t allow a hit in six innings of relief and Rollins used a four-run seventh inning to comeback and beat Florida Tech 5-4 Friday afternoon.
All nine starters reached base and Brad Case tossed a gem in his final start of the season as Rollins beat Florida Tech 8-3 Thursday in the Sunshine State Conference series opener between the two rivals.
Rollins and Florida Tech will meet in a three-game series May 10-12 at Alfond Stadium to close the 2018 season.
Rollins bats came alive and hung 20 combined runs in a double header spilt with Embry-Riddle on Saturday, giving the Tars the Sunshine State Conference series victory.
